STUDY OPPORTUNITIES

Each week we look at the upcoming readings for our Sunday worship service so that we can hear them with greater depth on Sunday Morning:

— Women of all ages are invited to the St. Philip Women’s Bible Study at 9 a.m. every Wednesday in the Fellowship Hall.

— Men of all ages are invited to the St. Philip Men’s Bible Study at 9 a.m. every Saturday in Pastor Kyle’s office.

Everyone is invited to a co-ed Bible Study at 7pm on Wednesday evenings in the Fellowship Hall.  We’ll be going on a year-long quest of spiritual formation through biblical study using Brian McLaren’s book, We Make the Road by Walking and a variety of media possibilities.

Join us for Adult Forum at 10:20am on most Sunday mornings.  During this time we will go through a number of different studies, ranging from in-depth biblical studies of particular biblical books, theological responses to current events, and other practical aspects of faith.  We’ve recently studied Acts of the Apostles, a video and discussion about grief, and explorations of various seasonal hymns.  This upcoming Lent, we will explore various spiritual practices that enrich the Christian faith, introduced with a video from a leading voice like Sara Miles, Phyllis Tickle, or Shane Claiborne.

THEOLOGY ON TAP

Every third Thursday at 8pm, we gather at Grandpa’s Place with members of our own congregation and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church to talk about questions of faith, think about how God is at work in our life, etc.  Join us for a beverage of your choice and hearty discussion!
